UPSC Exam Pattern 2023: The UPSC CSE 2023 Exam will be conducted in three stages and candidates have to be ready to face these three stages in order to successfully prepare for the UPSC CSE 2023 Exam.

Note:

  1. In both of the question papers, there will be multiple choice questions of the objective type and each question paper will last two hours.
  2. A qualifying paper with a minimum pass percentage of 33% is required for the UPSC CSE 2023 General Studies Paper-II.
  3. In addition to the English-language question paper, the UPSC IAS paper will also be available in Hindi.

UPSC Exam Pattern Negative Marking Rule

In the case of a candidate’s incorrect answers marking a question incorrectly in the stage I or objective-type question paper, there will be a one-third (1/3rd) penalty or negative marking or negative marking of the marks assigned to that question.

UPSC Exam Pattern Personality Test Stage  3

The candidate is required to take a Personality Test after passing the written examination. In the Personality Test, most of the questions are based on general topics of interest. UPSC interview rounds or personality tests are intended to ensure that the candidate is qualified for a career in public service by an objective and knowledgeable Board of UPSC observers.
